This project focused on conducting detailed geotechnical and geophysical investigations to support the planned road construction in the Akoka area of Lagos. Given the coastal location and variable subsurface conditions, the objective was to assess soil integrity, groundwater levels, and bearing capacity to inform safe and cost-effective pavement and structural design.
Our multidisciplinary team deployed electrical resistivity, cone penetration tests, and borehole drilling to gather data on soil layers, water table, and load-bearing potential. The findings were analyzed to recommend optimal foundation design, subgrade treatment, and material specifications for long-term road durability.
We approach all infrastructure support projects with scientific rigor and engineering precision. Here’s how we executed this one:
Our experience in subsurface investigations for urban infrastructure ensures road projects are built on solid ground. With a blend of data-driven insights and field-tested methodologies, we help reduce construction risks, cost overruns, and premature failures.
